Annual festival will take place in two cities next year
Wireless Festival will take place in Birmingham as well as London in 2014, it has been confirmed.
The annual event, this year headlined by Justin Timberlake and Jay Z, will expand to two cities for next year with a new venue in London also among the announcement made by organisers earlier today (December 16). A post on the festival’s official Facebook page states that Wireless 2014 will feature “3 Days. 2 New Venues. 1 Huge FESTIVAL.”
Wireless 2013 took place at east London’s Olympic Park and saw headline performances by Jay Z and Timberlake, with the pair joining together for the first ever Legends Of The Summer show in the UK. Elsewhere, there were performances from Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora, Frank Ocean, Katy B, Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah across the weekend.
Rihanna joined Jay Z and Timberlake’s epic two-hour plus Legends Of The Summer show on the third and final night of Wireless which saw the pair perform their new joint show together for the first time.
Wireless 2014 takes place between July 4-6. No artists have been confirmed for the event as yet.
