One of the biggest surprises of 2022 was the announcement of Resident Evil 4 Remake. It follows Capcom’s recent trend of remaking the older games in the series, with all new visuals and changes to gameplay and plot to make them more accessible for modern gamers.

So far, we haven’t seen much, just a short teaser showing off the game’s new look. If we look to the remakes of the previous two games, Resident Evil 4 Remake could be a very different game when compared to the original.

Here’s the latest news that’s been released for Resident Evil 4 Remake. We have a release date, and a look a a short trailer.


Resident Evil 4 Remake release date


Resident Evil 4 Remake will launch March 24, 2023. This isn’t too far away, especially seeing as the game was only recently announced. Things are subject to change, but this could be a perfect time to release the next Resident Evil Remake before we get another mainline entry. There’s also PSVR 2 content that has been announced for the game. This does not have a release date yet. We’ll update once we hear more.



So far, Resident Evil 4 Remake has been confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC. We don’t have any info regarding last-gen consoles, but given the game’s release date, it’s possible that it may be new-get only. When Capcom confirms this, we’ll add it to this section.

We’ve only seen a short teaser trailer for Resident Evil 4 Remake so far, but it did contain some fan-favourite characters. Here’s who’s confirmed so far:
