Adele has been named as the richest British celebrity under 30.
The Tottenham-born singer’s latest album, ’25’, went double platinum last month, and has sold over 3.1 million copies to date. The ‘Adele Live 2016’ world tour, which continues tonight (November 9) in Houston in the US, also brought in £112 million at the box office.
The annual celebrity-only rich list, complied by Heat magazine, saw Adele’s success this year topple the wealth of One Direction, who previously held the top position collectively. With the group now disbanded, each bandmember has charted individually on the list, with the already-departed member Zayn Malik coming in highest at third with an estimated net worth of £38 million.
Elsewhere on the list, actor Daniel Radcliffe is second with £74 million, while fellow Harry Potter star Emma Watson is ranked at sixth with £35.7 million.
