Billie Eilish has announced a pair of intimate acoustic concerts in London around the release of her debut album.
Eilish will play at the Pryzm club in Kingston-on-Thames on March 7, the day before her album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ is released.
The first show at 7pm is a 14+ gig, with the second at 9pm for fans aged 18+. The shows are organised by local record shop Banquet Records, with tickets on sale from Banquet’s website at 5.30pm today (February 20).
Tickets are £15 including the album on CD, £20 with a CD and cassette or £26 for a ticket and vinyl. They are limited to four per person. To combat touts, photo ID will be required on the night.
The shows follow Eilish’s sold-out six-date UK tour, which starts on February 27 at Manchester Academy and ends with a three-show run at Shepherds Bush Empire from March 4-6. Eilish is also confirmed for Reading And Leeds Festival on August 24-25.
The recent NME cover star was praised by Dave Grohl after he saw her in concert, though the Foo Fighters singer later issued a transcript of his comments to clarify his thoughts. In the transcript, Grohl said: “The connection she has with her audience is the same thing Nirvana had in 1991,” adding that his daughters are “obsessed” by Eilish.
Eilish, who recently released new single ‘Bury A Friend’, has also seen her track ‘When The Party’s Over’ covered by Bring Me The Horizon.
In her NME interview, Eilish addressed sexist attitudes towards her image, saying: “If I was a guy and wearing these baggy clothes, nobody would bat an eyelid.”
