Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart to play two nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall

Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart have announced details of two huge shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Having previously united in August 2017 when Stewart made a surprise appearance during Chappelle’s set at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, the topical talk show giant and comedy legend then embarked on a sold out run of US shows.

Now, they’ll be making their UK debut together. Full dates are below. Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday August 17 and will be available here.

  • Sunday October 21 – London, Royal Albert Hall
  • Monday October 22 – London, Royal Albert Hall

Just as Chris Rock did during his recent UK tour, the duo will be banning phone use during the shows.

A Live Nation statement reads: “These shows will be utilising Yondr technology and are strict no mobile phone allowed shows. Attendees are advised to leave their phones in their cars or at home. Anyone who brings a moobile phone will be required to place it in a locked Yondr pouch.

“Everyone is subject to a pat down and wanding. Anyone caught with a mobile phone inside the venue will be immediately ejected.”

Meanwhile, Chappelle made headlines earlier this year when it was reported that he was being sued by a man who threw a banana peel at him on stage.

The comedian previously addressed the incident in his 2017 Netflix special Deep in the Heart of Texas, dubbing it “Bananagate” and suggesting the attack was “premeditated” due to the brownness of the peel.
