David Tennant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse for ‘Fright Night’ remake

Star Trek's Anton Yelchin also set for vampire movie

Ex Doctor Who actor David Tennant is set to make his US film debut in a Hollywood remake of Fright Night.

The actor will be playing Roddy McDowall‘s character magician Peter Vincent in the new version of the 1985 vampire cult hit, reports
The Hollywood Reporter.

Kick-Ass star Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette and Star Trek‘s Anton Yelchin.

The sci-fi star will play actor teenager Charlie Brewster who thinks his neighbour is a blood sucker, Mintz-Plasse will play his friend Evil Ed.

The remake will be directed by Craig Gillespie and the script was written by Buffy The Vampire Slayer‘s Marti Noxon, with filming expected to start in the next few months.
