Destiny’s Child manager ‘hopeful’ group will reunite for comeback album

Tour, movie and TV project also possible

Mathew Knowles, the manager of Destiny’s Child and father of Beyonce, has stated that he is “hopeful” the R&B group will reunite for a new album.

Knowles, who parted ways as Beyoncé’s manager in 2011, recently spoke to Huffington Post about a possible reunion.

Knowles said, “I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour. I’m working on a few Destiny’s Child projects right now.”

Elaborating on possible Destiny’s Child projects, Knowles added: “My second book will be the autobiography of Destiny’s Child. I’m talking to the film and TV community right now, regarding a Destiny’s Child movie or TV series of some sort.

“I still manage the ladies, and I’m hopeful that within the next two to three years we’ll see something major come from it.”

2016 will be the 10-year anniversary of the band’s split.

Destiny’s Child reunited live in March, appearing together at the 2015 Stellar Gospel Music Awards.

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland joined their former bandmate Michelle Williams to perform her single ‘Say Yes’.

Destiny’s Child formed in 1990 and sold around 60 million records before disbanding in 2006. They previously reformed for a performance at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show.
