The album will be released "unusually" over the course of 2018 and will be the duo's final studio album
Die Antwoord have detailed their final studio album.
In 2017, the South African duo announced that their final record would be called The Book of Zef. But today (14.06.18) the band have shared that the new album will be called 27.
The record will be “released unusually over the next year or so” and feature “27 songs and many collaborations with our favourite artists in the world,” they said on Twitter.
The band added: “most of these artists are (still) kinda unknown and from South Africa.”
“The main 27 album will be released as a 10 track soundtrack to the 27 feature film we are busy making atm.”
‘Golden Dawn’ is the name of the first single from the upcoming album. The album release date has not yet been announced.
Die Antwoord’s latest album Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid was released in 2016.
