Disney and Pixar announce ‘Monster University’

New animation to be prequel to 'Monsters, Inc'

Disney and Pixar are set to make a prequel to their hit Monsters, Inc named Monster University.

The studios announced the new film and its title at CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday (March 29), reports Hollywoodreporter.com.

Monsters, Inc, released in 2001 by Pixar, was an early hit for the studio. It was the company’s fourth feature film and made over $525million (£328million) on release.

John Goodman and Billy Crystal are expected to return as the ‘fright engineer’ characters Sully and Mike Wazowski from the first film. No details were revealed about the plot of the movie, although the title has suggested to many that it will be a prequel.
