Disney responds after dying Marvel fan asks to see ‘Avengers: Endgame’ before release

Make it happen....

Disney has reportedly reached out to a terminally ill fan, after they started a campaign to see Avengers: Endgame before the film is released.

The fan, known only as Alexander, went viral after starting a campaign on Reddit called “‘Dying Before April: My Endgame”. Many fans tagged the reddit accounts of directors Joe and Anthony Russo, while others used #Avengers4Alexander on social media.

Alexander, who is thought to be from Australia, explained in his original post: “Liver cancer, mouth cancer, bone marrow failure.

“Will probably be dead before April. I’ve heard of people getting early screenings before. How do I get in on this action?

“I’m not a child or anyone with a particularly tragic story. Just a normal guy. I’m 33, lost my sister three years ago to the same rare genetic disease it turns out I have too. I’ll leave behind a devoted girlfriend and an adopted greyhound.”

The rare genetic disease that he inherited is fancomi anemia – which severely affects the production of bone marrow.

Alexander added: “”Also, because Australia is a small place, turns out I know a guy who knows a guy who is chums with Chris Hemsworth. I think they called him tonight on my behalf.”

Now, he says that Disney has responded, and they’re looking into the various options of how to help him.

“Disney have reached out and we are discussing options. I cried when I read their email. It’s everything I hoped for and I owe it to all of you,” he explained.

But he’s not quite finished yet – his next campaign will be to watch the last Game of Thrones season before it airs.

“I’m gonna seem so greedy,” he joked.

Avengers: Endgame is set for release in April.
