Does Chewbacca really eat humans?

Warning: Potential spoilers for 'Solo: A Star Wars story'.

Star Wars fans have finally received some much needed clarity over whether Chewbacca eats humans.

When Solo: A Star Wars Story hit cinemas earlier this year, it was revealed that the titular hero first encountered the loveable wookiee after he was thrown into a dungeon.

But while Chewie eventually befriended Han, the question still remained of whether he’d actually eaten anyone beforehand.

Now, an answer has emerged – and it thankfully seems that he doesn’t hold a penchant for human flesh.

According to Nerdist, the official Solo companion novel by Mur Lafferty reveals that he “hadn’t gotten that hungry, not yet”.

The novel states that the fictional wookie  *does* enjoy meat occasionally, but with no specific reference to humans.

Despite receiving largely positive reviews, Solo tanked at the global office.

It was subsequently reportedly that Lucasfilm decided to put all of the upcoming Star Wars spin-off films on hold.

The decision affects all movies which are currently being made under the umbrella term A Star Wars Story.

This decision is set to affect the rumoured Obi-Wan Kenobi and Boba Fett spin-off movies, but The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson’s recently-announced trilogy and the series of films which are being developed by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will continue to be made.
