Eminem reveals new track ‘Rap God’ – listen

Track is the third track to be lifted from 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2'

Eminem has revealed ‘Rap God’, the latest song from his forthcoming album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’. See above to hear the track now.

The six-minute long track sees Eminem in a furious mood, asserting his own superiority in the hip-hop genre over a trap beat, namechecking a number of his peers including Busta Rhymes and Waka Flocka Flame. ‘Rap God’ is the third track fans have heard from ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ after ‘Survival’ and the hit single ‘Berzerk’.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar, singer-songwriter Skylar Grey, Rihanna and Nate Ruess, best known as the lead singer of the band Fun., are all set to appear on ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ with Rihanna guesting on a track called ‘Monster’. The singer hinted at her involvement in a September 12 tweet. It read: “Recored a #monster hook for one of my favourite artists! And that’s all I can give you…”

Eminem’s eighth studio album, ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ is conceived as a sequel to the rapper’s classic 2000 album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’. The artwork recalls that of the earlier the album, featuring Eminem’s childhood home in north east Detroit, which has recently been put up for auction.

‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ is set for release on November 5. It features production from the likes of Rick Rubin, Dr Dre and DJ Premier.
