Bryan Singer's version will rework classic fairytale
Ewan McGregor is in talks to star in a movie version of Jack And The Beanstalk.
Director Bryan Singer‘s film will be a reworking of the original fairytale. It will focus on a young farm boy who orchestrates a mission to save a princess who has been kidnapped by a giant. If the secret mission does not succeed, an uneasy truce between humans and giants will be destroyed.
Lovefilm.com reports that former Skins actor Nicholas Hoult will play Jack, while McGregor could play a guard. Stanley Tucci has signed on to play a villainous royal advisor.
Bill Nighy and John Kassir are also set for roles, with Alice in Wonderland‘s Eleanor Tomlinson one of the actresses linked to the role of the kidnapped princess.
Shooting on the film is set to begin in March.
