Good news, Neo Yokio fans...

Vampire Weekend‘s Ezra Koenig has provided an exciting update on the next series of Netflix show Neo Yokio.

The anime series debuted in September 2016 and sees Jaden Smith starring as Kaz Kaan, a wealthy magistocrat living in an alternative-timeline version of modern day New York.

But while it’s yet to be revealed if the show will make a second season return, creator Koenig has given a cryptic update – and it’s looking rather positive.

When asked about the show on a recent episode of his Beats 1 show, Koenig replied: “All I’ll say is Neo’s not dead.”

Before that, however, comes the apparent return of Vampire Weekend after they announced a comeback show at the End of The Road festival.

The New York band were last seen on these shores in August 2014 when they played at Reading & Leeds, and have only played a handful of gigs since those shows.

Koenig also recently joined forces with James Corden for a track from the ‘Peter Rabbit’ soundtrack that has been penned by the Vampire Weekend frontman.

The track was penned by Koenig and Peter Rabbit director Will Gluck, featuring on the official soundtrack of the live-action adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s classic books.
