Fans preview ‘Twilight Eclipse’ on Twitter after Oprah Winfrey organises early screening

Third part of Vampire franchise hailed

Fans provided an early preview of new film Twilight: Eclipse on Twitter, after Oprah Winfrey organised an early screening of the vampire film

The movie is not in cinemas until the end of June, but a select group of fans attended a private screening for the star’s television show.

The third in the supernatural saga – starring Robert Pattinson as vampire Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as his love Bella Swan – was screened to fans as part of the taping of an Oprah Winfrey special on the highly-anticipated film, with Stewart, Pattinson, plus Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning in attendance.

Viewers were sworn to secrecy over details of the film, but that didn’t stop an outpouring from fans – known as “Twi-hards” – on Twitter.

They nearly all agreed that the as-yet-unfinished film is the best yet. It “Blew Twilight & New Moon out the water!” wrote JustSoJazzyDiva, reflecting a lot of the responses to the film.

It also appears that the love scenes in Twilight: Eclipse are more daring than anything that’s occurred previously in the notoriously chaste franchise.

“You will NOT be disappointed and the love sceenes are f’ng HOT,” wrote Nicolediscogrll. “Turned me on a little.”

The plot of Twilight: Eclipse sees Bella about to graduate, but with one hitch – Seattle is surrounded by a vampire army.
