Rami Malek has become the subject of another meme – this time off the back of a commercial clip for a hotel chain.
The Bohemian Rhapsody actor, 37, starred in a video for Mandarin Oriental hotels last month in which he lists various things that he is a fan of. He announces his choices, which range from “chamomile tea” to “classic movies” while looking down the barrel of the camera.
Now, in the wake of his big win at the Oscars, Twitter users have unearthed the promo clip and turned it into a meme. Some people liken Malek’s delivery to something out of a horror movie, while others poke fun at it by comparing it to starting a new job.

It’s not the first time that Malek has become a meme. Last year, his refusal to take a selfie with a fan was circulated far and wide on the internet.
Elsewhere, Twitter user ‘Elias Stein’ writes of the new meme: “Rami Malek is going to be a great Bond villain”. Stein’s remark is in reference to reports that Malek is in “final negotiations” to become the next Bond villain.
Collider reported earlier this week that Malek has cleared his shooting commitments to the final season of Mr. Robot and is now in final negotiations to play Daniel Craig’s adversary in the forthcoming Bond 25.
Malek swept the board at the leading 2019 film award ceremonies for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.
