Amy Schumer set to star in upcoming bachelor comedy

The film is titled 'Who Invited Her?'

Comedian Amy Schumer has signed on to star in and produce the forthcoming bachelor comedy titled Who Invited Her?

The film is based around an overbearing female friend who invites herself along to her friend’s bachelor party. It was co-written by The Carrie Diaries Sascha Rothchild and Dirty Grandpa‘s John Phillips.

Tami Sagher, a writer from Schumer’s skit show Inside Amy Schumer is currently reworking the screenplay, with Schumer’s sister Kim Caramele set to co-produce.

Elsewhere, Schumer is currently working on an untitled mother-daughter comedy featuring the return of renowned actress Goldie Hawn. Hawn hasn’t appeared on screen since 2002’s The Banger Sisters.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Hawn said: “We are going to do a really funny movie together. It’s going to be a blast.”

The untitled movie was written by Katie Dippold, the screenwriter who rebooted Ghostbusters, and will be directed by Jonathan Levine, who produced Zac Efron’s upcoming summer comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.

Schumer’s 2015 movie Trainwreck amassed over $140 million at the box office. A release date for Who Invited Her? is yet to be announced.
