Razorlight and We Are Scientists drummer Andy Burrows has been cast in Ricky Gervais’ forthcoming David Brent movie.

Burrows will play the drummer in Brent’s band, Foregone Conclusion, and has also written original songs for the film with Gervais, it was announced today.

Titled David Brent: Life On The Road, the film is set 12 years after The Office and follows Brent, now a travelling salesman, as he takes his band on a self-financed UK tour. As well as starring, Gervais is the film’s writer-director. The Office‘s co-creator Stephen Merchant is not involved.
