'The Reflektor Tapes' is set to open in cinemas on September 24
Arcade Fire have released three stills from their forthcoming feature film exclusively on NME.COM.
Titled The Reflektor Tapes, the film follows the band during the making of their chart-topping 2013 album ‘Reflektor’ and subsequent world tour, and features a blend of concert footage, interviews, scenes from the recording studio and never-before-seen personal footage. The film also includes a previously unreleased track from the band.
Directed by Kahlil Joseph, who was granted unprecedented access to the band, the film is billed as a unique work “meeting at the crossroads of documentary, music, art and personal history”.
Arcade Fire have said of the film, which follows them from Jamaica to Montreal, and Los Angeles to London: “There were parts of the ‘Reflektor Tour’ where I think we, Arcade Fire, came the closest in our careers to putting on stage what we imagined in our heads. We were insanely lucky to have Kahlil Joseph documenting from the very beginning.”
The Reflektor Tapes opens in cinemas worldwide on September 24. Find out which cinemas near you will be screening the film here.
