Ashley Jensen “devastated” after husband found dead at family home

"Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time"

The husband of Extras star Ashley Jensen has died aged 60.

Terence Beesley was found unconscious at the couple’s family home in Cameron, Somerset, last month.

An ambulance arrived at the home after a 999 call was made, but Beesley’s death was confirmed a short time later.

His cause of death is yet to be revealed, but an inquest is expected to be held next year.

“Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time”, a spokesperson for Jensen confirmed.

A spokesman for Mr Beesley added: “It is with great sadness that I can confirm that Terence passed away at the end of November.”

The couple initially met in 1999 while working on a production of King Lear, before tying the knot in 2007.

The couple had one son, Francis, who was born in 2009.

Mr Beesley was best known for his small screen work, having appeared in EastEnders, The Bill, Casualty, Where The Heart Is, and ITV period drama Victoria.

Jensen, meanwhile, is best known for her role as the long-suffering best friend of Ricky Gervais’ Andy Millman in BBC sitcom Extras.

She has also appeared in Ugly Betty, Catastrophe, and took the lead in British comedy-drama Agatha Raisin.
