Director Zack Snyder has shared the first picture of Jason Momoa as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Game Of Thrones actor Momoa – who played Khal Drogo in the HBO fantasy series – will make his debut as Aquaman in Snyder’s superhero mash-up movie, out next year (2016), before starring in a standalone Aquaman film which is set for release in 2018.

Aside from a brief appearance at the end of last year’s The Lego Movie, these will be the first big screen appearances for Aquaman, who possesses an assortment of water-based powers and made his DC Comics debut in 1941.
