Bill Murray has signed to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in the new film from Roman Coppola.
The reclusive actor has joined A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III in a cast that also features Patricia Arquette, Jason Schwartzman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The project will also mark Sheen’s first role since his departure from Two And A Half Men, according to Variety.
The film follows the life of a successful graphic designer whose perfect life is thrown into chaos when he is dumped by his girlfriend.
Murray received an Oscar nomination for his role in Lost In Translation, directed by Coppola’s sister Sofia. Meanwhile, mystery still surrounds his involvement in the long-mooted Ghostbusters 3. A script has been written, but it is believed that it cannot move forward without Murray signing up. Earlier this year he told Howard Stern: “I guess I’m the problem. Before I was an asset, now I’m a problem. There’s a script somewhere [on my desk] but I haven’t read it yet.”
Murray is notoriously difficult to sign in Hollywood, since he operates without an agent.
