Bill Murray working at his son’s bar this weekend

Actor is taking up bartending again

Bill Murray will help out at his son’s bar in New York this weekend.

The actor has been known for his spontaneous bartending in the past, appearing at Austin bar Shangri-La during SXSW 2010.

Now Time Out New York reports that Murray will work at 21 Greenpoint, his son Homer’s bar in Brooklyn this weekend (September 16-17).

“The cocktails on offer are the creations of beverage director Sean McClure, an alum of Le Bernardin and Dirty French, but we’re going to assume ol’ Bill will have full control of the tequila bottles,” the Time Out preview reads.

Earlier this year, Murray was reported to have thrown fans’ mobile phones off the roof of a restaurant.

The actor was attending Justin Timberlake‘s 901 Tequila party at Vesuvio, a restaurant in Carmel, California on February 11 when the incident occurred. Murray was said to have become annoyed with people getting too close to him as they were trying to take selfies with him.

Murray was alleged to have thrown three phones off the roof. The police were called to the restaurant at 10:30pm, but by the time they arrived the actor had left.
