'Bad Teacher' actress is being lined up to star in the raunchy comedy alongside Jason Segel
Cameron Diaz is reportedly in talks to star in Sex Tape.
The Hollywood actress is said to be in early negotiations to re-team with her Bad Teacher director and co-star Jason Segel in Escape Artists’ new raunchy comedy, according to The Wrap.
The movie concerns a married couple who take a night off from looking after their kids to re-install a bit of passion into their lives by making a sex tape. When they wake up in the morning they discover that the tape is missing, prompting them to set out to find who took it and how to get it back.
According to Empire, the role was originally earmarked for Reece Witherspoon, but after she dropped out, the role has been linked to Diaz. It now appears that formal negotiations have taken place.
The Sex Tape script has been written by The Back Up Plan‘s Kate Angelo, and the film is produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch.
Meanwhile, Diaz will next be seen starring alongside Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor. She’ll also soon begin filming Nick Cassavetes’ comedy The Other Woman with Leslie Mann and model Kate Upton.
