Carrie Fisher admits ‘intense’ affair with Harrison Ford while filming original ‘Star Wars’

It looks like Han Solo and Princess Leia had a real-life romance

Carrie Fisher has admitted that she and fellow Star Wars icon Harrison Ford had an ‘intense’ affair while making the original trilogy of movies.

Their characters Princess Leia and Han Solo shared an on-screen romance – even having the child Kylo Ren who appeared in the latest instalment of the franchise.

But now in her upcoming book ‘The Princess Diarist’, she’s opened up about her relationship with Ford, back when she was 19 and he was a 33-year-old father of two.

“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind,” she said.

Adding that the affair was “intense,” she continued: “It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”

Discussing their relationship after spending an evening together at a birthday party for director George Lucas, she continued: “I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow. How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”

Meanwhile, Star Wars fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next instalment in the legendary sci-fi series ‘Rogue One’ – here’s everything we know about the film so far.

The latest trailer for ‘Rogue One’ was recently unveiled, exciting fans as the most revealing yet and packed with even more footage of Darth Vader.
