Jason Bateman and co return for comedy sequel in cinemas November 28
Star Trek‘s Chris Pine couldn’t be further from the heroics of Captain Kirk in his next film. He plays a kidnap victim who “Fight Clubs himself” in the latest trailer for comedy sequel Horrible Bosses 2.
Jason Bateman returns along with Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis in the follow-up to the 2011 caper. The sequel is due in cinemas November 28.
Their characters (Nick, Dale and Kurt) have had enough of answering to the higher-ups so decide to launch their own business. But when the boys are duped by a shark investor (played by Christoph Waltz from Django Unchained) they resort to radical means to get their own back.
The film’s synopsis reveals: “Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap their investor’s adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.”
Jason Bateman made his directorial debut this year with the comedy Bad Words and is currently filming The Family Fang.
Jason Sudeikis has recently wrapped on the Jared Hess directed comedy Loomis Fargo also starring Zach Galifianakis and due in cinemas next summer.
Charlie Day can be seen in the 10th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Sean Anders (That’s My Boy) takes over from Seth Gordon in the director’s chair. Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Aniston also return. Watch the trailer for Horrible Bosses 2 below.
