Filming on phones was banned while on set
Chris Pratt has shared a behind-the-scenes video of the cast on the set of Avengers: Endgame – despite filming on mobile phones being banned. Check it out below.
The latest Marvel movie in the hit franchise was released last week to great critical acclaim, being dubbed by NME as ‘potentially the best comic book movie ever‘. The film now looks set to break box office records after taking a huge $1billion during its opening weekend.
Now, despite not being allowed to take footage himself while on set, Pratt (who plays Star-Lord in the series) has shared what he calls “a really illegal video” of the cast in costume but relaxing in between takes.
“I remember being blown away in this moment on the Avengers set,” wrote Pratt in the caption. “Nobody was allowed to film anything on their phones. I said screw it. No rule was going to stop me from seizing this once in a lifetime opportunity to capture this collection of stars, a group that likely will never be in the same room again. We are so blessed.
Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk in the franchise, is notorious for letting things slip, so much so that Don Cheadle (Jim Rhodes/War Machine) said he refused to do any promotion with him. But now the movie is finally out, Mark feels like he can rest easy.
This weekend, Ruffalo took to Twitter to reveal he’s relieved he no longer has to worry about spoiling the movie for fans. “Now that #AvengersEndgame is out in the world, you all can finally live without the fear of me spoiling it,” he said.
This comes after news that one fan who didn’t follow the same rules was beaten up outside a cinema for shouting out spoilers to movie-goers on their way to see the film.
