They also said where their characters could be now as the film approaches its 25th anniversary

Hitting cinemas in 1995, the coming-of-age classic was loosely based on the plot of Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma. Alicia Silverstone starred as Cher Horowitz alongside Paul Rudd, Brittany Murphy, and Stacey Dash.
Now, following reports that a reboot of the film is in development, some of the original cast have reunited and discussed filming the movie – and what would happen in a potential sequel.
Breckin Meyer – who portrayed Travis Birkenstock – posted an image of himself with former co-stars Alicia Silverstone, Donald Faison (Murray Duvall), and Paul Rudd (Josh Lucas). “Zero clue,” he captioned the picture. Faison also shared the snap, along with the message: “Rollin’ with the homies…”
The reunion took place at this weekend’s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo event, where the actors appeared on a panel together.
“I loved playing Cher,” Silverstone said of working on Clueless (via Buzzfeed). “It was such a fun character and working with these guys – every one of them was so much fun… I didn’t know who that girl was, so it was really fun to be her. Because it wasn’t how I lived my life.”
Pondering where the characters would be in 2019, Donald Faison said: “I like to believe that this is how it would be nowadays. I think you guys [Cher and Josh] would still be together if we were to ever do a sequel.”
Following news that Clueless could be revived last year, many fans of the original aired their concerns on social media. “If there is a film that really doesn’t need remake treatment it is Clueless,” one Twitter user posted.
Speaking to NME about the film’s long-standing popularity in 2015, Paul Rudd said: “I think it’s a clever movie and it’s well made – Amy Heckerling did a great job with it. The fact that it’s [based on] Emma means the actual story is something that’s held up over the years. But Alicia Silverstone is so winning in that part too.”
