Daniel Radcliffe says he would be ‘perfect’ to play Robin in next ‘Batman’ film

Harry Potter actor eyes role in 'Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice'

Daniel Radcliffe has said that he would be “perfect” in the role of Robin for the forthcoming Batman film.

Director Zack Synder has already begun filming Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Michigan, Illinois, Africa and the South Pacific. Ben Affleck will appear in the film as Batman, while Henry Cavill is set to reprise his role as Superman.

However, Harry Potter actor Radcliffe spies a role he could play in the film. Asked by Buzzfeed which franchise he would consider joining now that his days of playing a wizard are over, Radcliffe selected DC’s story of Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego: “If they reboot that again, I’ll do that,” said Radcliffe. “It’s happening, isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin! I’m perfect.”

Though the comments are perhaps tongue in cheek, Radcliffe would join Amy Adams (Lois Lane) and fellow Man Of Steel cast members Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne on the film’s cast list.

The movie also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

It was revealed earlier this year that Batman Vs Superman has been delayed by 10 months and will now open on May 6, 2016 to “allow the filmmakers time to realise fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story”. The film was originally slated for a summer 2015 release.
