‘Deadpool vs. Wolverine’ crossover movie should happen, says T.J. Miller

Miller plays Deadpool's friend Weasel in the forthcoming comic book movie

Deadpool actor T.J. Miller has said he wants to see Ryan Reynolds’ anti-hero team up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on the big screen.

Miller plays Deadpool’s friend Weasel in the forthcoming comic book movie, which opens in UK cinemas on February 12. Asked by MTV who Deadpool should join forces with in a future crossover movie, Miller replied: “Wolverine. I know it happens kind of in the comics but it would be interesting to see what it is [in a film].”

“I do believe that in the future there will be a movie called ‘Deadpool vs. Wolverine’,” Miller added.

However, Ryan Reynolds was more skeptical about the chances of this crossover movie being made, saying: “We’ll see if that happens. I’ll hold my breath. But who wouldn’t want to see a Deadpool-Wolverine movie?”

Hugh Jackman is due to make his final two appearances as Wolverine in this year’s X-Men: Apocalypse and next year’s untitled standalone Wolverine film.

Asked recently whether he could be tempted to play Wolverine again in a future Deadpool film, Jackman replied: “I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me. But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine].”
