The film will also star Scottish actor Jack Lowden as Morrissey himself. The biopic will document his life in the ’70s prior to becoming the ’80s icon we all know and love/hate today.

Steven‘s producer Orian Williams and casting director Shaheen Baig both worked on the Ian Curtis biopic Control.

There’s currently no release date but filming for Steven starts in Manchester from mid-April.
