Emily VanCamp to return as Agent 13 in ‘Captain America: Civil War’

'Revenge' actress made a brief appearance in last year's 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

Emily VanCamp is to reprise her role as Sharon Carter aka Agent 13 in Captain America: Civil War.

The Revenge actress made a brief appearance as Agent 13 using the alias “Kate” in last year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will return for the sequel, Deadline reports. However, details about her storyline are being kept under wraps.

Directors the Russo Brothers started shooting Captain America: Civil War last month (April) for a May 6, 2016 release date. Chris Evans’ title character will be joined in the sequel by Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, as well as by Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier and Anthony Mackie’s Falcon.

Chadwick Boseman, the star of last year’s James Brown biopic Get On Up, will also appear in Captain America: Civil War as another iconic superhero, Black Panther. Meanwhile, Rush/Inglourious Basterds actor Daniel Brühl will play a super-villain called Baron Nemo and Sherlock‘s Martin Freeman has joined the cast in an unspecified role.

Following the landmark deal between Marvel and Sony Pictures in February, Spider-Man is set to appear in a Marvel movie for the first time, and it is widely expected that the webslinger will make his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War, though this has yet to be confirmed.
