Evangeline Lilly has spoken about her role in forthcoming Tolkien epic The Hobbit, and praised director Peter Jackson.

Talking at the US premiere of new film Real Steel, the former Lost star, who’ll play Wood Elf Tauriel in the two-part fantasy drama said: “Working with Pete Jackson is super inspiring.”

She also praised the huge amount of support she gets in New Zealand.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, she added: “I have a dialogue coach, an emotion coach, a language coach, a stunts coach. So I should by rights be great in this film but if I fuck up it’s my fault.”

She goes on to demonstrate her Elvish skills.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens December 14 2012, with part two, The Hobbit: There And Back Again due in December 2013.
