Car chase sequel features the last film appearance from the late Paul Walker
An extended three-minute preview clip for car chase sequel Fast & Furious 7 has been released.
Fast & Furious 7 features the last film appearance from the late Paul Walker, who died in a car accident midway through filming. Shooting was subsequently delayed to allow for script rewrites and the actor’s brothers Caleb and Cody Walker were used as stand-ins to complete his final scenes.
Fast & Furious franchise regulars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Ludacris all return, while Jason Statham plays the film’s main villain after making a brief appearance in 2013’s Fast & Furious 6. New additions to the cast include Kurt Russell, The Expendables 3‘s Ronda Rousey and Blood Diamond actor Djimon Hounsou.
Meanwhile, Iggy Azalea has filmed a cameo for Fast & Furious 7 and the rapper recently admitted that the experience gave her a new-found appreciation for actors.
Saw director James Wan called the shots from a script by regular Fast & Furious franchise writer Chris Morgan. Fast & Furious 7 is set for release on April 3 this year (2015).
