Fergie responds to reports that Quentin Tarantino bit her while filming ‘Grindhouse’

"We were just kind of having banter"

Fergie has spoken about recent reports claiming that Quentin Tarantino bit her while they were filming the movie Grindhouse.

The former Black Eyed Peas singer starred in the 2006 movie, directed by both Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. Fergie starred in the horror double feature alongside Rose McGowan, Josh Brolin, Bruce Willis, Kurt Russell and Rosario Dawson.

Bonus footage from the Grindhouse DVD recently resurfaced online, showing Fergie discussing shooting a scene with Tarantino, who made a cameo as a zombie. In the clip, Fergie appears to suggest that Tarantino “fucking bit me”, adding: “And by the end of this shoot, I will bite him back.”

Speaking to ET, Fergie has now said: “First off, I stand with victims everywhere no matter what genre, race, gender, age. I stand with victims period, and I don’t want to take away from anyone’s story. That just wasn’t my story.”

“We were just kind of having banter,” she explained. “We were having a little bit of fun.”

Asked if her comments had been taken out of context, Fergie replied: “Yeah. But make no mistake, I don’t want to take away from anyone’s story, and I stand with every victim.”

Tarantino made headlines last week after Uma Thurman spoke out about an “unforgivable” car crash and subsequent cover-up on the set of Kill Bill.

Thurman also described how Tarantino “choked and spat on her” as part of filming – which he later responded to in a statement.
