Final ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ trailer arrives

Fans get a look at the last ever instalment


The second part of the last Harry Potter has had its final theatrical trailer released online.

After 10 years, seven features and billions upon billions in box office dollars, the Potter films are drawing to their conclusion.

The trailer, which shows the schoolboy wizard aging through the years, features the ultimate epic battle between Harry, joined by his friends and schoolmates, and the villainous Voldemort, backed up by an evil army.

From the looks of things no one appears safe and, given Rowling‘s tendency to kill off major players, any number of the beloved characters could face the cut by the time the final credits role.

The first adaptation of J.K. Rowling‘s children’s books, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is still the most successful earning $968m (£600m) worldwide. This figure is closely followed by Deathly Hallows: Part One with a take of $946m (£586m).

Deathly Hallows: Part Two will be the first Potter film expected to pass $1 Billion, being the first to be shown in 3D.
