First image from ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ revealed

Still sees Jamie Dornan's character Christian Grey in his car

The first image from the hugely anticipated Fifty Shades Of Grey movie adaptation has been revealed.

The picture seen above sees Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) in his car. Dornan replaced Charlie Hunnam in the central role after the Sons Of Anarchy dropped out in October 2013 citing his “immersive TV schedule”.

Filming on the Universal Pictures movie was delayed following the sudden exit of Hunnam and last-minute casting of replacement Dornan, recently seen in BAFTA nominated BBC TV series The Fall.

Speaking about how he felt after opting out, Hunnam recently said: “When you put the time into something like that and a character comes alive in your mind, it’s heartbreaking not to be able to play him […] It was definitely kind of heartbreaking having to say goodbye to that character and not bring it to life.”

The big screen adaptation of EL James’s blockbuster erotic novel was originally set to open in cinemas worldwide on August 1, 2014 but will now arrive the following Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2015).

Dakota Johnson will co-star as Anastasia Steele, the college graduate who enters into an intense sexual relationship with the older and dominant Grey. Pride And Prejudice actress Jennifer Ehle and True Blood‘s Luke Grimes will appear in supporting roles.
