Gal Gadot signs up for three films as ‘Wonder Woman’

Actress will star in 'Man Of Steel' sequel

Fast & Furious actress Gal Gadot has signed a deal to play Wonder Woman in three films, according to reports.

As Empire reports, Gadot appeared on Israeli entertainment show Good Evening With Gai Pines to discuss the forthcoming sequel to Man Of Steel and subsequently revealed that she is locked in to play the iconic superhero for three movies.

Gadot, a previous winner of the Miss Israel competition, will take on the role in the superhero mash-up opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman.

Speaking previously about her casting, director Zack Snyder said: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”

Snyder will start shooting Batman Vs Superman in Michigan later this year. Alongside Cavill, Affleck and Gadot, Amy Adams is confirmed to be returning as Lois Lane and her Man Of Steel castmates Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne have also inked deals to reprise their roles. The film – whose official title has yet to be confirmed – will now be released in 2016.
