‘Game Of Thrones’: Two new Season Five clips released – watch

The world premiere of Season Five took place at the Tower of London last night (March 18)

HBO has releases a pair of new teaser clips for Season Five of Game Of Thrones.

One of the clips features an intriguing exchange between Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister and Conleth Hill’s Varys, while the other shows Kit Harington’s Jon Snow trying to influence Ciarán Hinds’ Mance Rayder.

The world premiere of Season Five of Game Of Thrones took place at the Tower of London last night (March 18) with a host of Game Of Thrones stars in attendance, including Harington, Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister), Gwendoline Christie (Brianne of Tarth) and Tara Fitzgerald (Selyse Baratheon).

The new run of episodes will begin on Sky Atlantic on Monday, April 13 – the day after it premieres on HBO. Once again, the new season will consist of ten episodes. For the first time, Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin has not written an episode for the forthcoming season, as he is concentrating on completing the sixth novel in his series, The Winds Of Winter.

Meanwhile, HBO’s programming president Michael Lombardo has recently revealed that he wants the hit fantasy drama to run for 10 seasons. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have said in the past that they are planning to wrap up Game Of Thrones at the end of Season Seven.
