Gordon Ramsay-starring ‘Love’s Kitchen’ takes just £121 at UK box office

The romantic Britflick is a spectacular flop

A new British film that guest stars Gordon Ramsay has flopped at the box office, taking just £121.

Love’s Kitchen, a romantic comedy which stars Dougray Scott as an up and coming chef alongside former Eastenders and Bionic Woman actress Michelle Ryan, took a site average of just £24 across only five screens that were showing it, according to The Guardian.

A guest appearance from celebrated TV chef Ramsay could not pump up interest in the critically panned movie, which has averaged a score of 8%. Neither could appearances from veteran British actors Simon Callow and Peter Bowles. You can watch the trailer for Love’s Kitchen, which features Ramsay‘s cameo, by scrolling down.

The flop result comes in stark contrast to the weekend’s box office winner, Bridesmaids. The comedy, which stars Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, took £3.4 million, including paid previews of £1.03 million.

The rest of the top five is made up by Kung Fu Panda 2, Green Lantern, Bad Teacher and The Hangover Part II.
