Respects are being paid at London's King's Cross station

A number of Harry Potter fans have paid their respects to late actor Alan Rickman by setting up a makeshift memorial at Platform 9¾ at London’s King’s Cross station.

The fictional platform features in JK Rowling’s Potter books as the magic gateway to the Hogwarts Express. A Platform 9¾ plaque was erected in 1999.
