Hear Pink cover Jefferson Airplane in ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ trailer

Sequel starring Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska hits cinemas on May 27

Disney has released a new trailer for Alice Through The Looking Glass featuring Pink’s take on ‘White Rabbit’.

Pink has covered Jefferson Airplane’s psychedelic classic, which uses imagery from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, for the film’s marketing campaign. She will also be writing and recording an original song for the film’s soundtrack, Disney confirmed today (February 16).

Disney’s sequel to 2010’s Alice In Wonderland sees Johnny Depp return as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska reprise her role as Alice Kingsleigh. Helena Bonham Carter (the Red Queen), Anne Hathaway (the White Queen) and Matt Lucas (Tweedledee and Tweedledum) all return too.

In his final film role, the late Alan Rickman provides the voice of Absolem, the Caterpillar, which he also supplied in the 2010 film.

Tim Burton hasn’t returned to the director’s chair, but serves as a producer on the sequel, which is instead directed by Flight Of The Conchords co-creator James Bobin. Alice In Wonderland screenwriter Linda Woolverton once again provides the script.

Meanwhile, new additions to the cast include Spectre star Andrew Scott, former Downton Abbey actor Ed Speleers and Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays Time personified.

Alice Through The Looking Glass, based on Lewis Carroll’s own sequel to Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, Through The Looking Glass, opens in cinemas on May 27, 2016.
