New trailer and official poster for ‘Creed II’ released

Another glimpse of the sequel ahead of its November release

A second look at Creed II has been unveiled – check out the upcoming movie’s second official trailer below.

Set for release on November 21, the sequel stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, and Tessa Thompson. It follows the original Creed movie – released in 2015.

Back in June, the first glimpse of the new film was shared. The clip saw Adonis Creed (Jordan) being badly injured during a fight, before showing him in hospital as his girlfriend Bianca (Thompson) looked over his bed. Later, Rocky Balboa (Stallone) appeared as Creed’s mentor in a training scene.

Now, another two-and-a-half minute trailer has been released – offering further insight into the movie’s plot.

Ahead of the clip dropping, the official film poster was shared online yesterday (September 25). See that beneath.

Creed II was directed by Steven Caple Jr, who took over from Ryan Coogler. It was written by Stallone and Cheo Hodari Coker.

“Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life,” reads Creed II‘s official synopsis. “Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family.”

2015’s Creed marked Stallone’s first appearance as his most famous character since Rocky Balboa. The 2006 movie rebooted the actor’s popular boxing film franchise after a 16-year hiatus.

Stallone previously said the follow-up to Creed could see a shift between time frames in a similar style to The Godfather 2.
