We’re now only nine days away from the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and we’ve just been provided with a pretty big hint about the potential return of the ultimate Jedi master – Yoda.
Despite facing his end in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Yoda’s return has been unexpectedly teased by Digital Sputnik – a lighting/production company who provided their services on The Last Jedi.
In a since deleted Facebook post, the company shared the trailer of forthcoming biblical biopic Mary Magdalene to highlight their work on the production, and seemingly let a Yoda-shaped cat out of the bag too.
“Another production where our lights shone. Yes we illuminated Jesus”, a caption on the post read.
#starwars #StarWarsBattlefrontII #StarWarsRebels #HappyTuesday Is That for real guys? Yoda is showed at the @starwars VIII? Would be ******* awesome but what a mistake from @DigitalSputnik pic.twitter.com/IATU6ccC24

“Edit: “We’ve just realised we have illuminated Jesus and Yoda”.
The last reference is a pretty clear sign that the tiny Jedi master could be making his return – although their involvement suggests that he’ll perhaps be present as an ever-seeing force ghost.
As expected, LucasFilm haven’t commented on the speculation – but we do know that Rey will be gearing up for some serious Lightsaber action after it was revealed that Daisy Ridley aced a three-day lightsaber course in just 90 minutes.
In a new featurette, Ridley is seen training for a scene that takes place on the same mountain we last saw her at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
