The first full trailer for the new James Bond film Skyfall has been released.
MGM and Sony Pictures today (May 21) put out the first teaser of the 23rd 007 outing, which you can watch above.
Skyfall sees a face from M’s past return and haunt her and the agents of MI6. And as the trailer begins, 007 is seen under interrogation, playing word association. When faced with the mysterious question of “Skyfall” he hesitates then replies simply, “Done”.
The clip then unveils as a series of quick cuts as the tension mounts, Bond running through the streets of London, a row of coffins draped with the union flag, epic vistas of the film’s locations, and a tube train crashing. As the trailer climaxes, Bond declares: “Some men are coming to kill us. We’re going to kill them first.”
Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris co-star in Skyfall, which opens in the UK on October 26. The new movie’s release marks the 50th anniversary of the Bond series. Sean Connery kicked off the franchise in 1962, playing Ian Fleming’s British secret agent in Dr No.Video
