No, James Corden doesn’t make a cameo in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’

Warning: Mild spoilers.

James Corden has confirmed that he doesn’t appear in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, after eagle-eyed fans mistakenly believed that they had spotted the Late Late Show host in the briefest of cameos.

The moment comes during an early sequence in the film, with viewers claiming that Corden is seen flying an X-Wing fighter before the craft is destroyed by the villainous First Order.

But Corden has now shut down the theory after NME asked if he just so happened to be the man in question – joining the hordes of famous faces making secret appearances in the sci-fi sequel.

“I am not”, he exclusively confirmed.

Despite Corden’s absence in a galaxy far far away, the film is littered with celebrity cameos – including a secret appearance as Stormtroopers from Princes William and Harry.

The royal siblings filmed their cameo during a royal visit to Pinewood Studios in 2016, with reports claiming that their appearance comes in a scene that sees Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) infiltrating a secret base, before one of the brothers gets up close and personal with Del Toro.

Their appearance sees them joining the likes of Tom Hardy and Gary Barlow who are also seen in secret cameos. Singer Ellie Goulding also recently confirmed her appearance, but claimed that it had been removed from the final cut of the film.
