Jared Leto appears as The Joker in ‘Suicide Squad’ Comic-Con trailer – watch

Will Smith's Deadshot, Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Cara Delevingne's Enchantress appear too

The Suicide Squad trailer that debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend is now available to watch online.

Initially Warner Bros. intended the trailer to be a Comic-Con exclusive, but after a flurry of unauthorised footage recorded by fans on their phones made its way online, the studio had uploaded the full three-minute trailer to YouTube. It features a first look at Jared Leto’s The Joker as well as his super-villain comrades Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) and Jai Courtney (Boomerang). Ben Affleck’s Batman also makes a brief appearance in the trailer.

Meanwhile, How To Get Away With Murder Star‘s Viola Davis appears as Amanda Waller, a formidable government agent who is placed in charge of the so-called ‘suicide squad’, a team of super-villains working for the government in return for their freedom. Director David Ayer started starting the super-villain movie in Toronto in April and Warner Bros. has set a release date of August 5, 2016.
