Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Leto has joined the cast of Blade Runner 2. His role in the currently-untitled sequel is being kept under wraps, Deadline reports, but he is understood to be one of the final actors cast in the film as shooting is due to start next month (September).

After last month’s Suicide Squad, Blade Runner 2 will be only Leto’s second role since his Oscar-winning performance in 2013’s Dallas Buyers Club. Leto previously said that staying in character as The Joker on the set of Suicide Squad was “entertaining” for the film’s crew.

Reports from the film’s set claimed that Leto had annoyed fellow cast and crew members by playing Joker-style pranks. But the actor says that those working on the film took it in good humour.
