Actress is due to appear in 'X Men: Apocalypse' on May 19
Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about an embarrassing encounter with Star Wars actor Harrison Ford.
The actress approached the star along with director J.J. Abrams at an event in London.
“I never assume anyone knows who I am, but when I spotted Harrison Ford and J.J. Abrams I was like, ‘It’ll be fine, we’re all co-workers, right!,'” she told Graham Norton. “So I went up to them and started dancing like an idiot and the whole table just went quiet and stared at me. I realised while I am dancing that they had absolutely no idea who I was so I just turned around and walked back to [comedian] Jack [Whitehall] dying of embarrassment.”
Whitehall then said he went to make light of the situation. He added: “Jen had just been blanked and I was like, ‘Hey, it’s alright, I’ll go and say hi to Harrison,’ and everyone was like, ‘Jack, don’t do this. It will be humiliating,’ I got up and walk over and thinking, ‘Oh God maybe he won’t remember me and I’m going to be humiliated too…’
“Literally as I walked over he stood up and shouted, ‘Hey, Jack!’ It was so funny. It was probably the best night of my life and Jen’s worst!”
Lawrence will team up with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in the new X Men movie Apocalypse, which is released in UK cinemas on May 19.
The movie also introduces a host of new cast members, including Game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers aka Cyclops, former EastEnders actor Ben Hardy as Angel and Alexandra Shipp as Storm.
