The first trailer for Jim Jarmusch’s new zombie movie The Dead Don’t Die has been released.
In the trailer, we see a local police force comprised of Driver, Murray, and Chloë Sevigny trying to rid Centerville, which has a population of 738, of a zombie epidemic. “This is really awful, maybe the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” Murray’s Cliff Robertson says at one point. Watch it below now.
Steve Buscemi, Tom Waits, Carol Kane and more are also set to appear in the movie, which will be released on June 14.
The movie is Jarmusch’s first release since his 2016 documentary Gimme Danger, which took an in-depth look at the story of Iggy Pop’s band The Stooges. In a three-star review, NME described it as a “loving tribute to one of America’s most influential bands.”
Pop has also been working on another film lately, narrating the satirical documentary In Praise Of Nothing. His role as “The Voice Of Nothing” sees him explaining what Nothing would tell the world, if it could speak.
Described as “a whistleblowing documentary parody,” the 78-minute film – which took almost ten years to make – is entirely composed of fixed shots filmed by 68 film-makers in over 70 countries.
